Clinical Depression (the funny kind) began as a project for a writing workshop. It evolved over time and was quite depressing at first, but then Drew found the humor in his experiences with depression and transformed it from sad to funny. The show debuted at Under St. Mark's Theater on September 5th, 2007.
Ultimately, Drew's goal is to entertain the depressed and non-depressed alike in New York and beyond. Then he could quit waiting tables. He's also hoping to challenge the stigma surrounding mood disorders and help a few people along the way.
Leschinski Design and Drew Winninger came together through the Keith and the Girl show where Drew has been a recurring guest. Drew announced he was looking for help with his site and after a few emails Leschinski Design was contracted to develop his productions online presence. A few revisions latter and the idea of presenting the site in a stark sterile feel with a touch of mental health symbology came together.
Drew's logo was also redeveloped to better suit the site, and give his branding a more professional feel. The photo of the pill bottle from the original logo was illustrated and the typography fine tuned to produce the end result.
